# Connect Rainbrand

> Connect each agent to Rainbrand MCP — sign in with Rainbrand, or use a static API key.

Copy the Rainbrand MCP server URL:

```text theme={"dark"}
https://mcp.rainbrand.com/mcp
```

Rainbrand supports two ways to authenticate:

* **Sign in with Rainbrand (OAuth)** — the default for interactive clients. Sign in through a browser when your client prompts you.
* **API key** — a static `bloom_sk_...` key for a server, continuous-integration job, automation host, or another environment without browser sign-in.

Create an API key from your [account settings](https://www.rainbrand.com/account?tab=api-keys) and treat it like a password. Reference it from an environment variable or secret store, never commit it or expose it client-side. The examples below use `RAINBRAND_API_KEY` where the client supports environment variables.

An API key can use either header form; use the one your client expects:

```http theme={"dark"}
x-api-key: bloom_sk_...
```

```http theme={"dark"}
Authorization: Bearer bloom_sk_...
```

## Choose your client

    Static request headers are in beta for eligible organizations. If your connector settings offer them, choose no sign-in and add an `x-api-key` header with your Rainbrand key. Otherwise, use OAuth above.
